If there was ever a session I would have love to shot purely in film and purely in black and white, this would have been the session. It is full of so much detail and so much emotion that it deserves a vintage richness to polish every picture. Two weeks ago I had the true pleasure of capturing Joe, Patricia and Michael at the Bellagio Resort here in Sunny Las Vegas. I was not sure how things would turn out shooting in a busy location on a Saturday but there should have been no worries. Every image is just dripping with gorgeousness. The location provided so much rich detail which was the perfect setting for this family. There was almost a Gatsby-esque quality and as I have been going through the images it is hard to believe this was not a movie set and a styled shoot.
Patricia and Joe are an amazing couple - striking and polished but with the most incredible affection and bond that shows up whenever they are together.
Their son Michael is a wonderful young man too - well spoken and well mannered (pretty easy on the eyes too) but still a normal 16 year old guy! The true triumph for me was at the end of the session where he thanked me and said he had a good time. He did not expect it but he had fun and it shows in his pictures!
The Bellagio provided so many amazing locations to shoot - if you visit Vegas you do need to walk through and enjoy all of the luxury and detail.
So a final image and one that will always make me smile. I suggested Joe whisper something private to Patricia - lol I think he managed to say something really funny and probably best we do not know.
Thank you again for an amazing session - I know you said you have never had family portraits done before. I still have trouble believing it from how perfect all of you look!
